Sliding Up In Your DM…

 

Dating these days can seem pretty difficult…  From “sliding into their DM” all the way to “sliding in between their sheets”, dating feels like a full time job with no benefits, and one in which  many of you are repeatedly receiving a pink slip…  So today I want to share a few tips I’m finding pretty useful…

• “TALK” before you meet… Text and DM are cool, but never meet anyone without hearing their voice or possibly seeing their face…  The tone of someone’s voice can answer many questions without seeing their face…

•  Wait a few days before you meet…  The reason so many of you are heartbroken is because you jump into bed (for some literally) the first day…  Just because someone’s social media page looks great, doesn’t necessarily mean he/she does…  And I’m not only talking physical…  There are so  (Click HERE to read more)

It Takes Courage…

 

I must admit, it takes a great deal of courage to be authentically you…  To not be different, but be YOU!!!  For many people they’re not trying to fit in, but truthfully they’re afraid of standing out… They’re afraid of losing people because of who they truly are…  Afraid of being outcast, criticized, and ridiculed…  Oppose to being the light, they fade into the darkness of inclusion….  It takes courage to not be the person your parents dreamed you would be…  Courage to not be who the church says you should be…  It takes a hell of a lot of courage to be who God created you to be… It takes courage to be YOU…

Sentenced To Single…

 

What if I told you marriage isn’t in your future?  If I said the reason your marriage ended was because you were never supposed to be married?  Or how about those dreams of the great husband/wife, 2 kids, big house, and picket fence was all a fairy tale you created???  It’s amazing how many of you reading today feel as though “Singleness” is a sentence on your life…  Currently you’re living your life trapped in a cell all alone, unable to live your life freely because there’s no one there but you…  Daily you come out on the court yard to work, grab something to eat and immediately afterwards, you lock yourself back in the prison in which you’ve built yourself…

When You Were Enough…

 

Can you remember when “YOU” were enough?  When “your life” made you smile?  When “your dreams” were your pursuit?  In the world today, it seems like no one wants to be themselves…   Seems like most people are hoping to achieve just a fragment of what someone else has…  Women want to look like Beyonce, Men want to ball like Jay Z…  Black Women talk about “Becky with the good hair”, but envy is buried in their hearts and daily they attempt to surpass Becky by packing tons of weave onto their heads; wearing colored contacts, and carrying knockoff purses and shoes…  Men tear down other men because in some ways they feel inadequate to them…  Men take what they see, compare it to what they have and come up short…  Instead of injecting inspiration into their lives, they overdose on intimidation…

How The World Sees You…

 

How the world sees you should never be your concern…  You see the worlds view is tainted and many times it’s created not always by who you are, but by whom you associate yourself with, the car you drive, the clothes you wear, whom you’re dating/married to, your religious beliefs, your sins and even your flaws…  The worlds view is driven by your public success and failures, the color of your skin, and by your gender…  It’s fueled by your past, what they believe your future will be and by whom they see each time he/she looks in the mirror…

The worlds view will either place you in a box or on top of one for you to fall off of…  It will limit your power or exceed what you believe you’re capable of…  The worlds view profiles, categorize, and stereotypes you…  The world sits back watching, formulating who you are and attempts to calculate your next move…  You can’t worry about how the world sees (Click HERE to read more)
