We Got Bad Blood



When I first heard this week’s song I instantly knew it was something I needed to write about.  It’s the anthem of so many people hearts and it uncovers the chains, scars, and wounds in which they wear.  Taylor Swift is back with “1989” and the 1.3 million records sold its first week prove shes on top of her game.  The song I’ve chosen is “Bad Blood”, so let’s get to it…

Now just with the name alone, you can already picture what the song is talking about.  I must admit the entire song embodies such wonderful lyrics that it was very hard for me to choose standouts…  So I’m just going to use the opener and break it down…

So take a look at what you’ve done

And I don’t think we can solve them
You made a really deep cut

Many of you are walking around with “Bad Blood” running through your veins…  You’re holding grudges against people who have moved on with their life and frankly don’t give two shits about you…  You’re pissed, angry, upset, and your heart is filled with hate.  At the mention of their name you get all bent out of shape, lose sleep and if you could get into heaven hating them, you would gladly do it.  Its “mad love” gone wrong, but the only person suffering is YOU…

You’ve taken on the role of “victim”…  Constantly asking “How could you do this to me? Look at what you’ve done”.  You were embarrassed, publicly humiliated, and laughed at…  “Band-Aids can’t fix the bullet holes” you have in your heart, so you want them to pay for the pain they’ve caused or at least acknowledge the cuts from being stabbed in your back…   But guess what, you’re the only one taking notice of the wounds because they’re onto bigger and better things…  Through your hurt, (Click “Here” to read more)
